Week One... Preparing the way

Today marks the beginning of Advent. We participated in the Parish Advent wreath making festivities. It was a lot of fun and the kids did a great job! We Also had a visit from Zookie the Advent Elf... Let the adventure begin.
We were blessed to kick off the evening with fellowship and friends for dinner...5 adults and 11 kids in all...
As we gathered around our wreath and read our prayers I just had to take a minute to give thanks for all our blessing and to pray that in the upcoming weeks we can slow down enough to enjoy and appreciate this time of preparing our hearts to receive the greatest gift of all..Have a Blessed first week of Advent!
