My favorite part is being 5!

When asked what his favorite part of his birthday was... Jeremiah though long and hard and answered,,," just being 5".

Our sweet boy had a sweet day full of his favorite things!
He woke to streamers and green!

We had scones for breakfast.
Gymnastics with Dad and Mimi.
He picked out a huge glider and archery set at King Arthur's toys...
Got to play with his Nemo air swimmer.

Ate pizza for dinner!
Had a chocolate angry birds cake and ice cream.

Opened 12 gliders and a marshmallow bow and target, a warm jacket and fish t shirt.... And lots of beautiful cards...
We sang, we ate, we played...
All in all it was a great start to being 5!

As I look back at the past years with Jeremiah I continue to be amazed at his strong spirit and amazing heart... He had overcome so much at such a young age and we are so thankful! My favorite part of this day is seeing him laugh and joke and play all while holding a conversation...sharing his heart with us... Such a gift. ( for those who don't know what I am referring to, when jeremiah was 3 he was diagnosed as developmentally delayed... At 3 he spoke and comprehended at an 18 month old level... Mostly due to spending his first year of life with perpetual ear infections...now he is ready for Kindegarten and testing at the same level as his peers!)
Such a great day for the little man who chilled out in his water bag on his day of birth... To teach me patience the day he was born... He let his daddy be my valentine and then came in and stole both our hearts!

You have taught us so much about loving someone where they are, not being afraid of challenges, and gratitude for little victories that add up to huge blessings!
