My list

Since the weather has been pretty freezing... And my usual habit to deal with the cold is to consume massive amounts of treats ( Halloween candy). I decided to try some new things. There is this list I have been compiling over the years. You know the one that consists of all those neat things that you want to try "later". Welcome to later.
Item #1. Re read favorite childhood books with my kids. Or read some that I never got around to for the first time. The best part is rather than reading alone, I am embarking on this mission with the girls. So far we are reading The Trumpet And The Swan. Next is Stuart Little, The Little House Series, and the Chronicles of Narnia.

As for my own reading I am planning on reading Little Women, the Kristen Lavransdatter trilogy (rated the best work on womanhood by St Edith Stein), and then some Jane Austin.

I must admit I was inspired by a good friend who is a fantastic reader... Thanks Anne!

Item #2. We have entered into the world of crochet and loom knitting. Inspired by the cuteness of babies hats I decided to give it a try. Then the girls wanted to so we got a loom for each of them to work on a project. It's a great way to spend time and teach patience. Gianna finished hers. We start Malia' s today.

Don't worry we are not leaving out the little men. We are constructing many paper airplanes and block castles. And Item #3 is a thankful tree made of felt with their hands as the leaves. Pictures to come.

Item#4 a felt advent wreath and front door wreath...inspired by Sometimes Martha, Always Mary...

And I am sure that the list will continue to grow...

So as you can see we are busy as usual. But the blessing is our business is also time we are spending together.

What is on your list? Feel free to share your time sharing hobbies. It's always good for inspiration!

  1. I need to get me one of those ring things and I may be able to do this. Don't forgot to be thanksful for Aunt Gelle on the tree ;)
